Allocating a CX driver
A booking of up to 12 stops, with or without Service Details can be allocated to CX for driver quotes.
Which CX drivers see your quotes depends on individual CX Driver settings.
Instructions
Locate the booking from the Control screen and click the action menu > Allocate Driver.
On the Allocate Driver pop-up, click Allocate to CX.
If there is a query with the door number or building name, complete the Confirm CX Address pop-up before clicking Allocate.
Any address that has previously been manually edited automatically prompts the Confirm CX Address pop-up, this allows you to verify the address. Click Allocate if the addresses are OK.
The status of your booking changes to With CX.
The radius of drivers that see your job for quoting depend on the following:
If your booking contains Service Details the radius is selected from the settings entered.
If your booking does not contain Service Details the radius is set to 30 miles.
After some time, the status of the booking in the Control screen changes to Quote followed by a number. The number indicates how many driver quotes you have received. topbox polls CX every 30 seconds to look for new quotes.
If no CX drivers quote on the job within 8 hours, CX expires the booking, the topbox status shows as Expired on the Control screen.
Quoting drivers see the town and postcode. They also see address stop notes, if enabled for the driver pool.
Once you are ready to continue click the action menu > Show CX Quotes.
The CX Driver phone number (if available) is displayed.
Locate the quote you wish to accept and click the action menu > Accept Quote.
Result
The booking status changes to Allocated. The CX driver's name is displayed in the Driver column. The driver can see any address Notes in full (if they were disabled for the driver pool stage).
The driver price is hand-priced at the quoted amount.
If the driver uses the CX mobile app and is sharing their location, you can view their location on the topbox booking summary map. Click on the booking in the Control screen and click . A customer using the Customer Booking Portal also sees a driver pin on the tracking map for any job allocated to CX between the stages of POB and POD.
As the driver progresses the booking you see the booking status update to POB and POD in the control screen. Other statuses are not yet mapped from CX to topbox.
