Wait and Returns

A Wait & Return journey is where the driver returns an item to the collection point after making a delivery. An example of this can be where legal documents are sent out for signatures from a law firm. At the delivery point, the driver waits for the documents to be signed, the driver then returns the signed documents to the law firm.

By default a W&R cost is calculated at 100% of the return leg mileage tariff. Should you wish to configure the % for the return journey, this is done within the mileage tariff for each applicable service, see Adding a rate card for more information.

Wait and Return percentages are not available against zonal and special rate pricing. Should you add a W&R discount in a service type that is used in a booking that picks up a zonal or special rate, the return cost is calculated by the mileage tariff rate.

A W&R icon displays in the Control screen job summary for all bookings marked as Wait and Return.
