Service types

The service type is the type of service that you offer. Each service type is allocated to a vehicle.

Services can be associated to the type of vehicle you are using, or to the type of work or collections you are performing.

Examples include:

Standard Van	A vehicle-based service type for deliveries using a standard van.
Standard Bike	A vehicle-based service type for deliveries using a standard bike with a motor (moped or motorbike).
Standard Pushbike	A vehicle-based service type for deliveries using a standard bicycle.
Premium Van	A service-based service type for premium van deliveries, when only one parcel is guaranteed on the vehicle.
Blood Van	A service-based service type for blood collection and deliveries. Example: A multi-stop round with many collections at different addresses followed by a large delivery of all items at once to a single location.
Milk Round	A service-based service type for milk round deliveries. Example: A multi-stop round with a large collection of many items from one location, followed by many deliveries to multiple locations.

You can offer as many different services as you wish. You can also call the service by any name you wish, as long as the name represents the service you are offering for that vehicle.

The Show Inactive Service Types option in the top right hand corner of the screen allows for quick viewing of active/inactive service types.
