Progressing a non-mobile booking

A non-mobile driver does not have the Mobile App User option switched on in their driver Details. If a driver does not use the mobile app they are not able to accept, reject or progress jobs through the booking process automatically. You need to communicate with these drivers by phone through the various stages of a booking.

As a non-mobile driver is allocated to a booking, the job's status changes to Allocated. Once the driver confirms that the collection has been made, you must progress the booking in topbox.

The Progress Booking option does not display at the Allocated stage if a 'mobile driver' is allocated to a booking.

Instructions

  1. Within topbox locate the booking via the Control screen.

  2. Click the action menu > Progress Booking.

  3. Confirm the collection Complete At date and Time and click Save.

    • The booking status changes to POB (package on board).

    • Customers opting to receive notifications and where an email address is entered in the booking, receive a POB confirmation email.

  4. Upon confirmation of a successful delivery, locate the booking, click the action menu > Progress Booking.

  5. Confirm the delivery Complete At date and Time, enter a mandatory delivery Recipient name and click Save.

    • The booking status changes to POD (proof of delivery).

    • Customers opting to receive notifications and where an email address is entered in the booking, receive a POD confirmation email.

Result

On refresh of the screen the job is removed and is ready for invoicing.

What to do next

The driver must later pass you paper copies of any signature documents for your records.
