Adding a quote and converting it to a booking
You can create a booking as quote to generate a price for a customer enquiry. The quote can later be converted to a booking.
The details of any customer or service to be used in a quote must have been previously entered in topbox.
Instructions
Within topbox navigate to Bookings > New Booking.
Complete the booking screen as perAdding a new booking instructions, but do not click Save Booking.
From the action menu click Save as a Quote.
The Quote Reference number is suggested as using the customer Account Number and next available Booking Number but can be changed.
Click Save.
The quote appears in the Search Bookings area of topbox with a Quote status.
To progress the quote, do one of the following:
To progress the quote: Click the pencil icon > actions menu > Save Booking.
To reject the quote: Click the pencil icon > actions menu > Cancel Booking.
Result
Progressed quotes appear on the Control screen with a status of Booked.
Rejected quotes remain in Search Bookings with a Cancelled status.
