Adding a quote and converting it to a booking

You can create a booking as quote to generate a price for a customer enquiry. The quote can later be converted to a booking.

The details of any customer or service to be used in a quote must have been previously entered in topbox.

Instructions

  1. Within topbox navigate to Bookings > New Booking.

  2. Complete the booking screen as perAdding a new booking instructions, but do not click Save Booking.

  3. From the action menu click Save as a Quote.

    • The Quote Reference number is suggested as using the customer Account Number and next available Booking Number but can be changed.

  4. Click Save.

    • The quote appears in the Search Bookings area of topbox with a Quote status.

  5. To progress the quote, do one of the following:

    • To progress the quote: Click the pencil icon > actions menu > Save Booking.

    • To reject the quote: Click the pencil icon > actions menu > Cancel Booking.

Result

Progressed quotes appear on the Control screen with a status of Booked.

Rejected quotes remain in Search Bookings with a Cancelled status.
